How can expert, efficient, proactive & technically sensitive VA’s support environmental engineering innovators?

There are a multitude of corporate businesses & engineering groups making waves in the global emissions battle.

With the Green GB week still echoing amongst the media, there are a few financial phrases which have become prevalent in environmental financial circles. ‘Clean Growth’ is born from the Government support programme aimed at providing funding for new clean technologies.

Ensuring that a business is acting in the best interests of the environment, has become a necessity. Corporate Plc’s, Blue Chip investments & innovators identified by the Business, Industry & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) all have the capacity to generate vast incomes for the Clean Growth strategy the UK has spearheaded.

“The ‘Clean Growth Strategy’ announced the government’s ambition to provide up to £20 million to support a new clean technology early stage investment fund.

In partnership with the private sector, the Clean Growth Fund aims to speed up the deployment of innovative clean technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, by making direct investments in companies seeking to commercialise promising technologies.” (1)

‘Green Finance’ is the Government initiative behind collaborating with business to ensure they have the ability to generate financial gains from ‘green standard’ practises.

“Government is working with the British Standards Institute to develop a set of green standards to provide clarity to financial institutions over the credentials of green financial products.” (2)

Although the IPCC report very clearly laid out that every single person has a responsibility for reducing their carbon footprint & making decisions to support ethically sourced products & services; there are a wealth of large global businesses who are making considerable waves in the global emissions battle.

Dolphin N2’s CryoPower engine technology & energy generation initiatives, are one such company. Having developed a technology which can, still using traditional diesel fuels, reduce engine out emissions by up to 90%; Dolphin N2 are one of the many global innovators leading the charge in the corporate emissions & Co2 reduction battle.

Other global power houses forging there way with ground breaking, innovative emissions reducing technologies are BP, Iveco, Daimler AG, Castrol, Certas, Shell, Cummins Inc, to name but a few. These vast corporations are, just like Dolphin N2, developing & realising the potential for global emissions reducing technologies, which can, in conjunction with electrification & a blended approach to emissions reductions; give this little blue planet a fighting chance & help the human race to thrive & survive.

Every idea, every product, every business still needs people to support it. The way in which VA’s can support different sectors of business, we feel has a lot to do with the interests & specialisms of a VA. Some VA’s have an all encompassing profile, whereby others may specialise in Finance, Social Media or design. However, being able to support, be proactive, flexible, reactive & calm under pressure in certain sectors of business, can be more challenging than others.

Helena Parrott – Director/VA Virtually Smart Ltd has over 20 years experience supporting Senior Leadership, MD’s & CEO’s from a broad spectrum of commercial businesses, including CEO’s from the multinational corporate sector. However, one sector Helena Parrott has been honing her skills in, is collaborating with Senior Leadership in the engineering sector.

Engineering is by it’s very nature a changeable & moveable feast, as not only does VA business support cover more traditional business support tasks, this sector also has considerations like patents, legislation, government funding, investors & investment, global travel & national & international conferences & papers to attend/deliver.

With this in mind, Virtually Smart Ltd have considered the ways in which VA’s & in particular Virtually Smart Ltd, can support the global engineering & innovations sector.
