Therefore, during 2021 with so very many people working from home we are going to build an App of the Month toolkit to help you get through your working day & maybe some of the ideas we will present, can help you be more savvy with your time & help ease some of the long winded tasks.

Helena Parrott – VA/OBM/Director Virtually Smart – Trello

“I’ve rediscovered Trello again recently & am using it to manage several projects I’m running consecutively.

I really like the visual nature of the Trello Boards & the various options within cards like being able to add due dates, categorise & watch key items. It’s also great to be able to attach relevant documents & images which can then be shared with other team members.

Trello is really easy to use & I can give access to the teams I’m working with so they can easily see the latest status of actions.

Using Trello definitely makes my life a bit easier & it means I’m not trying to keep another Excel spreadsheet up to date!

This week I downloaded a power-up for my Trello Boards, called ‘Board Export’ It’s an incredible add on to the Trello function & allows you to export your Board into Excel, so you can use it to create really useful Spread Sheets to track activity. This is especially useful if your client prefers Excel format.”

Jane Wasley – VA, Virtually Smart – Go Tenant

“This month I would like to mention Go Tenant as a program I use regularly it’s great for tenant onboarding & property management.

I use Go Tenant for one of the clients I work with,  managing all their lettings in-house from the first inquiry right the way through to the check-in and check-out of the tenant.

The feature I really like is the Dashboard as that reminds me of any tasks which need to be completed, along with the deadline which it must be completed by.”

Owen Newton – Social Media VA, Virtually Smart – Dropbox

“For me it has to be Dropbox! As well as using it for work related things, I also use it for my own personal creative projects.

Dropbox enables the user to share important files & shared information with ease & in an age of cloud based apps’s can often be overlooked. However, Dropbox does exactly what it promotes & that is an effective sharing platform for multiple document users.

I also use Dropbox for transferring video from my Mobile Phone to my computer without losing any quality. This is great for video transference & for ease of editing later”

Katy-Jane Mason – VA/Content & social Media, Virtually Smart – Canva

“I was introduced to Canva by Helena in 2018 & it forms a central part of my everyday working.

I primarily use Canva for Postcards which accompany blogs, online content, advertising, infographics & information. It is remarkably easy to use & you can adapt your creations to suit any customer theme, image & text.

I have recently signed up for a Pro-Account & it has opened a wealth of new images, photo’s & themes for me to use. Well worth the investment & it now gives me even more flexibility for my design & advertising work.”
